The Old Charleston Jail

21 Magazine St, Charleston, SC 29401

Home to America’s first female serial killer, Lavinia Fisher, this infamous jail is riddled with tales of ghostly apparitions and cold, unshakable dread. Ghost tours of the jail often reveal terrifying paranormal activity, from disembodied voices to shadowy figures in the corridors.


Magnolia Cemetery

70 Cunnington Ave, Charleston, SC 29405

Established in 1850, Magnolia Cemetery is one of Charleston’s oldest burial grounds. It’s famous for the spirits of Confederate soldiers who are said to haunt the graves, as well as the eerie figure of a woman in black, often seen weeping near the headstones.


Battery Carriage House Inn

20 S Battery, Charleston, SC 29401

This elegant inn may offer beautiful views of Charleston’s Battery, but it’s also home to two notorious spirits: the Gentleman Ghost and the Headless Torso. Guests who stay in Rooms 8 and 10 have reported chilling encounters with these spirits during their stay.


Crybaby Bridge

High Shoals Rd, Anderson, SC 29621

A site of tragic legend, Crybaby Bridge is haunted by the ghost of a mother who lost her child in a river beneath the bridge. Late at night, visitors report hearing the haunting cries of a baby and feeling cold, unseen hands tugging at their clothes.


Baynard Plantation Ruins

Baynard Park, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928

These haunting ruins were once part of a grand plantation that fell into ruin after a tragic poker game. Visitors report seeing ghostly figures and a spectral funeral procession, walking solemnly through the trees at dusk.


White Point Gardens

2 Murray Blvd, Charleston, SC 29401

Pirates were once executed at White Point Gardens, and their spirits are believed to still haunt the park. Visitors report seeing shadowy figures near the oak trees and hearing disembodied voices whispering through the branches.


Admiral’s House

1100 Navy Way, North Charleston, SC 29405

Located on the former Navy Base in North Charleston, the Admiral’s House is said to be haunted by the spirits of naval officers and slaves. The most frequent ghost sighting is that of a young girl, often spotted near the trees, and shadowy figures marching through the grounds.


Seven Devil’s Bridge

Hopsewee Plantation

Built in 1735, Hopsewee Plantation is known for its ghostly activity. Visitors often report seeing the ghost of a young girl wandering the grounds, as well as hearing strange noises, such as phantom footsteps and doors slamming shut on their own.
